If you feel that Monday-itis coming on, have a magnesium salt bath on Sunday night.
Where do I buy Magnesium salt?
Firstly go to your local health-food store and buy Magnesium Chloride Flakes (these are more easily absorbed than Epsom salts).
Benefits of Magnesium baths
- Magnesium has some wonderful healing properties, including:
- Stress relief
- Muscle aches
- Improved circulation
- Headache relief
- Improve skin conditions
- Great for helping children to absorb minerals and improve sleep
How does Magnesium work?
Skin is the largest organ of our body, so magnesium is easily absorbed.
How to use Magnesium salts
If you want to go all out, set the mood with candles and calming music.
Fill the tub with warm water, and add 2 cups of Magnesium-chloride flakes
This is optional, but you can add a few drops of lavender essential oil for a super relaxed effect. (But remember to never put essential oil directly into your bathwater, as oil and water don’t mix. Mix about 3 drops of lavender with about 15ml of carrier oil first, then mix it into your bathwater.)
Soak for 30 minutes (20 minutes as a minimum to get the beneficial effects.
The rest is history.
What if I don’t have a bath tub?
If you don’t have a bath tub, we have a hack for you. Bathe your feet in the magnesium salts in a household tub or bucket big enough to slip your feet into comfortably, and you’ll still reap the benefits of this amazing mineral!
